Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine in conjunction with Bluesfest International, Windsor's first Great Lakes Blues Tour with Honeyboy Edwards and Bobby Rush was a smashing success despite a dangerous 60 year blizzard that hit Toronto on Sunday, 12/16/07, the last stop of the tour. Honeyboy said, “I don’t like it, I love it!” as the tour kicked off at Berts Warehouse in Detroit on 12/13/07 followed by sold out shows and an induction ceremony at Canada Soluth Blues Society's Blues Museum (the only blues museum in Canada at the Place Concord in Windsor, London, ON’s hospitable Dawghouse Pub & Eatery and wrapping it up at Hugh’s Room in Toronto where even with white out conditions and over a foot of fresh snow there was a 60 person wait list.
Big thanks to Ted & Louise Boomer, Bluesfest International, Canada South Blues Society, Leonardo & his big red van and all the blues fans.

Mark your calendar for the Kim Wilson/Doug Deming & The Jeweltones 2008 Great Lakes Tour kicking off at Detroit's Lager House on Thursday, Feb 21, induction into the Canada South Blues Museum-Windsor on Friday, Feb 22, London on Saturday, Feb 23.
